Development of Supernatural Perception

For moving into advanced meditation one should abandon all meditation methods which have to do with visualization within the mind. This is the only way one will adhere to the advice of Patanjali which is for the shutdown of the normal operations of the mind.

The operation of visualization and the craving for peace of mind are factors which contravene higher meditation practice but all the same what else can one do?

The answer to this is that one should find a method of infusing a higher grade of energy into the mind, so that it moves away from the normal states of consciousness in which it has to be preoccupied with images and thoughts which relate to the social situations we find ourselves in on planet earth and in the lower adjacent astral dimensions which are in relationship to life on earth.

During meditation this morning, there was a pushing force which was coming up from the trunk of the subtle body. This was there as a result of breath infusion which was done for about one hour just before meditation. That force was coming up from the front part of the body, and pushing through the neck and then through the face. It caused the eyes to roll upwards.

There was also a hollow area in the frontal part of the subtle head a capsule shaped area, which was hollowed out due to a special energy which was generated during the breath infusion.

Development of Supernatural Perception

A yogi should use intelligence and just retreat to the back of the head. In that way remove any interest energy which is in the front and which is involved in observing, interacting with or conceiving of thoughts. If the core-self retreats to the back of the head and can lift its interest in the mental activities in the forehead, then all such activity will shut down, resulting in a thought-less image-less state. Remaining in that blank state will over time cause the development of supernatural perception. That blank state is not the highest level of meditation but it is an interim state to higher situations where supernatural perception occurs.

Michael!

Thank you very much for continuing to emphasize the importance of avoiding the trap of visualizations when meditating.

Likewise, the attempt at attaining a blank mind when meditating without first energizing the mind with breath infusion, is a common denominator in many current yoga practices and schools. I write this from experience.

I am in the process of developing the ability to retreat to the back of the head.
