All Hail and Glories to an Axis Supreme
Jai Gurudeva Yogi Madhvacharya
Jai Mata Lakshmi
In an initiation ceremony on march 24 I was given my spiritual name by Acharya Michael Beloved.
Devapriya Yogini, which is of course the name I will be using from now on.
Special gratitude and my eternal prostration to him as well as Marcia Beloved who assisted in the initiation ceremony.
Today is the first day without Michael’s physical presence leading exercises for the last 21 days of March.
The time spent with him established a strong and vital practice to which I'm committed to maintaining.
Not to mention I enjoy it immensely.
Began 4am kundalini practice along with Yogi Kripamaya using this video of Michael’s which we followed along with. Since this is Michael’s own personal practice it was somewhat harder, but a good challenge.
Acharya Michael Beloved Kundalini Practice
Meditation after breath infusion and asana was successful in that Im becoming more able, with clarity and without distraction, to identify the components of mind, decipher thoughts and sense their origin and implication. The inside of my head is making more and more sense day by day in terms of its applications and habits. Using the techniques in the book "Meditation Pictorial" have helped me with this greatly.
After meditation Kripamaya and I took turns reading from Michael’s book “Krishna Cosmic Body” and shared discussion. Although Michael’s direct presence and commentary was dearly missed, having Kripamaya expound upon this story with his rich history of understanding, is a real benefit to me.
Jai Shri Shri Krishna-Balarama

This ceremony was done on behalf of Swami Shivananda; and Swami Vishnudevananda, whose institution devaPriya studied under and was certified by.
The award of the name was the Swami Shivananda’s way of acknowledging the services done with their teaching thus far.
These initiations are given with commitments of the student. In this case there was a single commitment stipulated by Swami Vishnudevananda which was for the student to maintain a daily early morning asana/pranayama practice, immediately followed by a meditation practice (samyama).
This student is already in the vegetation diet regimen, teaches yoga formally to others, maintains very little worldly association and has a higher sense of discernment to intuit when situations are devoid of spiritual interest.
Krpamaya was instrumental in introducing this student to some higher aspects of yoga and the demands that impact on student. A friend of devaPriya, Margie (spelling ???), asked about the award of a guru-relationship name. This was told to me by devaPriya.
As soon as this was told, some seconds later, as I pondered this, there appeared in my consciousness the name devaPriya which was an energy which emanated from a picture of Swami Shivananda which was on a wall within 3 feet of where I sat.
Taking this as an inspiration, I decided to hold a small ceremony and give the name on his behalf. Even though I intended to teach the kundalini yoga procedure to this student on this visit, I had no idea about awarding a Sanskrit name.
For one thing the name is given on the basis of services already done by the student to Swami Shivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda, services which I am not connected to and did not cause.
I did establish a relationship with the student and gave some duties but these have to be serviced in the future, so the name awarded is not related to this.

It is a joy to witness how certain souls cast their shadows.
Mahatmas in the Virat, in the Universal Vaishvanara.
I am referring to Swami Shivananda Maharaj, pictured below next to Holy Swami Krishnanandaji.

My dear Member's, I was present at that sacred ceremony, that great Happening, the initiation of blessed ErinnEarth Yoga Priestess.
Believe it or not, during the Ceremony when the Yogi was administering the tilak or clay marking on Devapriyaa Yogini forehead a fresh garland of flower's that was put on the this gigantic picture of Swami Vishnudevananda and Swami Shivananda had fell off the picture. The Yogi had then made a statement saying that they were pleased with Devapriyaa or something to that effect.
Anyway, my beloved instructors, I thought that that action of the flower's falling off the picture had to be known by the Member's.
Jai Gurudeva!
Jai Yogi Madhvacharya!
