This morning’s practice and meditation were done outside, alone, in view of the half moon.

Perfect temperature, super fresh air and quiet at 4am.

I practiced for 45 mins doing all the necessary forms but also holding stretching postures that i needed to do to empty tension from my upper back.

I find that breath infusion done while going from postures like the cobra backbend into inverted V forward bend (downdog) with a long breath in between and applied bandhas during retention is good for this area, which is a common problem human backs.

While in these two postures, depending on when you engage the locks and everything stays put, moving the head around, up and down, side to side, helps me to dislodge dense particles from the area.

This is my only physical problem area since using a computer more.

I never had this problem till a few years ago when i started practicing celibacy AND using a computer a lot more. Both happened at the same time.

I used to say i didn't even feel my body, that's changed, i want to change it back.

I remained outside for meditation about 30 mins and then came inside to continue meditation for another 25 mins.  I was comfortable inside my head, the little me exploring inside, checking the components, refreshing my understanding of all that functions to operate my mind and then settling into the comfort of naad in the back of the subtle head and remaining there.

Spine is very important for yoga practice. A damaged spine is a serious impediment when doing yoga.

All precautions should be taken for preventing damage to the spine.

Anyone sitting at a computer should do what is necessary to get a suitable desk and matching chair so that when sitting the back is supported by the chair. Avoid lean-back office chairs. Avoid chairs which do not have a design which permits the body to be drawn back sufficiently so that the area above the waist is supported, and the buttocks can poke through so that the back is not set off from the brace

See the diagrams below which show one bad design and two good ones.
