Since there is variation in the weather energy, and in the state of the psyche of the individual yogi, one must be determined to raise kundalini daily, otherwise if one has a standard set time to practice, on some days, one will be unable to raise kundalini.
The weather changes and so does the energy content of the air we breathe, as well as the subtle air which the subtle body uses. This means that on some days, it will take a longer session of breath infusement to raise kundalini. On some days just as soon as one begins kundalini will rise but on other days, one might have to do a double or triple session to get kundalini to raise.
There is also the factor of the energy which is in the psyche of a yogi, this energy may be depressive, due to low social or astral association. The yogi must aggressively attack this energy and remove it from his or her psyche for success. This takes time, energy and attention.
An average full session of kundalini breath infusement takes about 20-30 minutes. But if there is low energy, it might take up to 40-60 minutes. Immediately after the session, the yogi should sit to meditate. In meditation one should note the effects of the infused breath. Such effects are:
1. Energy coursing through some part of the trunk or head.
2. Spontaneous hearing of naad.
3. Spontaneous focus on naad.
4. Visions of lights in the frontal part of the brain.
5. Inward-outward movement of a disc of light in respect to the center of the eyebrows.
6. Absence of thoughts and images in the frontal part of the head.
7. Slow motion presentation of thoughts and images with ability of the yogi to stop the presentation with very little effort.
8. Presence of advanced yogis or of deities (divine beings) in the subtle head of the yogi.
9. Force of kundalini entering the head through the neck and going out of the head in some specific direction with a force of its own.
10. Sudden descent of the yogi into the spine or into the trunk of the body.
11. Appearance of scenes from the divine world in the mind space of the yogi, specifically in the analytical orb.
12. Appearance of scenes which are in the astral world, outside of the astral body of the yogi, seen through a space which opens in the center of the eyebrows.
These twelve listed above are only some of the effects which one gets from doing the breath infusion before meditation. This is like a jump start to meditation. The breath infusion is like using an elevator to go to a higher level in a building, instead of trying to walk up many stairs.
