Deductions in Spiritual Practice

I am working on the method of shifting naad sound to other parts of the subtle body so that the entire form becomes saturated with naad rather than just a certain part of the subtle head. I am also doing this while doing breath infusion.

This is for causing a chit akash atmosphere in the subtle body. There are impediments to this for sure, and situations keep popping up which are counterproductive to this.

The fact remains that whatever effort one does for spiritual life which is effective there will be deductions from it due to time and circumstance, due to imposing negatives, and still the student should push on and be satisfied with whatever little he or she can cull out for spiritual life.

There will always be impediments to spiritual progress because that is the nature of the material world. One should not expect any better and should not be alarmed at the deductions and reductions to spiritual practice or its effects.

A down ride spiritually in the material world is a natural course which this world offers to all ascetics. No one is singled out for this. Everyone is subjected to this. The student should continue in the endeavor and simply agree to the negatives.

This is similar to when one lives in a country which has a poor economy and much government corruption. If one dares to save money in a bank in such a country, then one is saying to oneself that one will lose some of that money, that the currency value will drop at one’s expense. Spiritual effort in the material world will never give the full benefit of the austerities performed or the insights gained. There will always be a lag which is not the ascetic’s favor. He or she must learn how to be satisfied with that, just as persons in a poor economy are resigned to their negative financial fate.
