Craving Sex in the Hereafter

Meditation this morning was a wash out even though the breath infusion session was thorough. This happened because of a very busy night in the astral world with deceased persons as well as with persons who have physical bodies.
Association with others in the astral world during the night could ruin the next morning’s meditation practice, because of the residual negative tally from that astral association.
The more people a yogi knows, the worse are his possibilities in the spiritual sense. Each association with each person means time has to be spent associating with that person. Now if that person is not spiritually focused, then guess what the net result will be.
If this affects my practice, then I can just imagine how it would demolish if not completely ruin the practice of students who are not as consolidated in the spiritual path.
The advice is that you should reduce associations and keep yourself to yourself as much as you can.
A few persons whom I saw last night were telling me how the major anxiety for them in the afterlife astral state was sex intercourse. They said,” Sex is the one thing which we must have and which we pursue and think of day and night on the astral side. Since we left our bodies behind, that is the one thing which is on our minds. Our astral bodies craved sex all the time.”

What would I say to them? I just told them that there is a reason why I always try to stick to yoga austerities because I did not want to be in that mood after leaving the physical body. I did not want to have that craving.
These two people were Catholics in their last bodies. They were morally upright people who attended mass regularly and who contributed much in the way of socially beneficial life style in the previous life. But now their main anxiety is the procurement of sexual intercourse. Why is this so, if these persons were religiously inclined? How is it that in the astral world now, all of their life’s acts are reduced to a sex need?

So, what do you make of it, Michael? Since we don't interpret dreams and projections the same way, I don't think I can help.

devaPriya Yogini's reply:
This is true for me too. Of course people insinuate that I should be out and about, marketing, networking, promoting, socializing, which all sounds like a nightmare to me. I stay in, associate with very few, and sleep well mostly. The more people trying to influence my thoughts and feelings, the more upset and distracted in sleep and dreams I am and then of course, that affects my meditation ability. I rarely accept invites for social events, Im sensitive so i must avoid them...I pick up on the nuances of peoples states and often times I end up sought out for spontaneous counseling (Ive found people don't listen much anyway, they just want to vent) which ultimately can make me feel sick. Most people are currently so culturally sick that it's best to keep a healthy distance.
Anyway, i agree, our associations should be kept to a minimum it helps us know ourselves and to progress spiritually. Also if certain people know you are different, they will seek you out to sort of attempt to 'play' with or be entertained by you.
"Since we left our bodies behind, that is the one thing which is on our minds. Our astral bodies craved sex all the time.”
How terrible...such a great motivator for staying on a Yogic track...that must be a kind of hell for them.

I see this scenario very differently. Yoga, including meditation, has strengthened and centered me, so that I am bothered less by associations. Getting out and finding stimulation for learning and charitable endeavor relieves the self-concern and absorption that can be so limiting and unhealthy. It is all a matter of finding balance. We need time to sharpen the saw, but we also need to use the saw.
I tend to agree that what you have described is "hell." What are you doing there?

Yoga has strengthened and centered me. It's made me a better person, mother, social worker, teacher and friend. It's also made me even more sensitive, strong and discerning with people, food, talk etc... Charity and learning are one thing. I was talking about mostly socializing. I chose to do that with very few.
Im sorry Colleen Dick i don't understand your last sentence. As a celibate in more ways than one, I am certainly not there. I have been there, but thankfully I am no longer.

Marcia Beloved's Response:
Colleen, I agree with these statements of yours. I am not balanced in this respect and I would benefit by more constructive associations. Too much social and psychological isolation seems to skew one's outlook. It's like one shifts out of the zone where one is supposed to act, endeavor and learn and one gets stuck in a self created psychological corner stalemate.

Erin, the last sentence has to do with Michael finding these people in his astral projection.

MiBeloved's Response:
One does not always choose where one stays in the astral world hereafter. Just as we sometimes find ourselves in certain dream experiences without desiring to be in those particular subtle places or moods, the same might occur in the hereafter.

Colleen's query:
Isn't it according to Karma? If you are a person of high character, doesn't that make a difference?

No it is not according to the karma, it is according to the situations which are available at the time of your demise. Karma has to have an environment to operate in. The environment also has to accommodate the karmic energy.
I loved the woman. I passed on. She passed on. I took another body in Russia. She took another body in Bolivia.
The karmic energy is there in either of us but it cannot operate because we are not in the correct environments.
For that matter in Russia in my new body, the karmic energy which concerns the woman I loved in the past life, is not even felt. It is in dormancy in a subconscious state beyond my conscious reach. It may as well not be there.
Karma only has value and is only operative if there is a corresponding environment which facilitates it.
Seeds in a bottle also have karma but so what? They are stuck in the jar. Until they are spilled on soil, the karma has no meaning.
The afterlife unless it is suitable for the karmic energy of a deceased person just won’t respond to give any fulfillments.
In the birth after I loved the woman, it was the year 1398. Unfortunately there were no jet aircraft and in fact where I was in Russia we had no idea that there was a country where Bolivia was located. To us no such place existed.
Now if I was born in the year 1998 instead, I may have traveled to Bolivia in jet aircraft and may have met the woman so that the love energy could be actuated in my psyche.
===================
This is a good subject because sometimes when a universe crashes, then trillions of limited entities are left hung up in existence without an environment to function in, which means that their karmas are put on hold for millions of years.
In the book I did which is the Krishna Cosmic Body, we hear an experience of the Yogi Markandeya where he was perplexed about this problem, regarding what happens when a cosmos crashes. Krishna eased the fears of the yogi, by showing that in that case, in the particular situation, Krishna had relocated the spirits into Krishna’s Cosmic Body.
That is like when a woman is pregnant, and then for some reason her body goes into a coma, what happens to the embryo. Can doctors transfer it to a woman who is not a comatose condition?
Karma???????
Not a big deal at all because it is so reliant on ecological and social environments, even astral ones..

It is all a very different system than I am accustomed to. I'll give it some thought. I'm going to be on the road awhile, and I hope all will be well with everyone while I am gone.
Thank you Marcia. It is very nice to hear from you.
