Buddhism & inSelf Yoga - a Group Phone Lecture & Discussion

Yogi Aniroodha’s presentation on Buddhism was remarkable because he is a gifted narrator and an Hinduism historian with an exceptional breadth of knowledge on vast aspects of subject matters.

This particular contribution to the space of inSelf Yogins’ live exchange was a unique and special opportunity for a definite comparative study between the practice of Buddhism and the path of inSelf Yoga. 

Ultimately, once some definition of certain key terminologies were delineated, namely, atma, anatma, liberation, brahman, etc.. these two practices were discussed in some deeper detail, and their sought-after goals could be assessed with much-needed clarity.

This is possible because of the once in generations/ages methodical and systematic study of Yogiraj Madhavacarya. This research endeavor within the ever-subtle confines of the mind-space and human psyche affords his students an exceptional purview beyond the self, the soul, the psyche.

A student of inSelf Yoga, an advanced surgical and experiential course lifting from the continuum of the eight steps purificatory practice, in conjunction with the abridged introspective sensorial withdrawal of Shri Pantajali, can fortuitously grapple, even at an introductory level with the inconspicuous presence/absence of a coreSelf and its relationship with the very self/soul, that would be the target of the Buddhist dissolution, so that it, the self/soul may be compatible with Brahman-liberation (from the Prakriti). 

Additionally, it should be added that the Buddhist method strictly speaking is only an option for those who fulfill a certain level of clearance/pre-requisite. Their example or path may not be replicated at large. Such extraordinary souls are presumably beyond the address of the sense of identity. Not all soul-sense of identity/ahamkar-coreSelf individual complexes are created equal. 

Which class one should enroll in is I suppose up to personal assessment. The possibility of success or even advancement in any such curriculum goes back to one’s starting point in this lifetime. Which path has one met the prerequisites for? That is where efficiency matters in the course of lifetimes of application.
