Bliss Realm of Shimmering Silver Light
After a very good session of breath infusion with infused energy rushing through various parts of the thighs, trunk and neck of the subtle body. I began to work on the head of the subtle form.
When working on the head of the subtle form, one sometimes finds matching areas in the other parts of the subtle body which correspond psychically to particular areas of the head. When this happens, one will find that suddenly one’s attention jumps from the head to some other area or that it holds focus in the head and simultaneously maintains focus on some other area.
In the trunk of the subtle body, there were random stacks of light (like sunlight) energy flashing here and there with shimmering bliss force.
After this I sat to meditate. I used a very tight lotus against a wall with the lower back properly supported with a pillow, while the upper back touching the wall. I supported the left knee which was higher than the floor. Students should either do meditation on a soft cushioned couch, lying down, reclining or in lotus if the body can tolerate that pose.
It is foolish to do meditation in a difficult posture where the body is pained during the pose. If however difficult postures like the lotus are easy because one’s body is subtle, then one should use the lotus because it is the classic pose which allows the body to sit with balance and with the sacral cage positioned sturdily on a floor.
I can remain in lotus for an hour, sometimes for less. After this I usually ease out of that pose, straighten or reposition one or both legs and then resume meditation. By this time the meditation has simmered because the main effects of doing pranayama before meditation have waned.
Pranayama causes the subtle body to be elevated to a higher plane from which the meditation begins, but then as the pranic energy becomes more and more diffused, the subtle body drops down in frequency. It will keep dropping down until it resumes its normal level on the materialistic plane of existence.
===========================
This morning during the first part of the meditation session, I was clinging to the naad vibration in the right back side of the subtle head. Up front nothing was happening, no thoughts or ideas, but then every so often, there was a flimsy mental line of thought energy. This was the energy of someone who tried to get in touch with me mentally. Because I did not descend to the lower level where this mental line occurred, I did not become familiar with the idea contents of the communication from that other person.
If you are on the top story of a building, and if someone on the bottom story rings a door bell, you might hear that bell sound in the distance, but you do not have to go to the ground level where you would hear the sound clearly and could respond at the door. In meditation sometimes, persons who have confidential relationship with you, might send a message to you which might pass through the atmosphere and arrive in your subtle head as a mental idea. But if you are meditating on a higher level, you would not be compelled to even regard the communication.
After a while I had a feeling to look forward in the subtle head, and then to the front a little to the right from center and down a little, there was a silver shimmering crystalline light from another dimension. This shimmering light was moving on a celestial plane of existence. This did not stay for a long time and then it disappeared. This occurred in the buddhi intellect orb which is capable of perceiving supernaturally so long as it has stopped its cittavriti mento-emotional operations and is in the upgraded high-level subtle body, made so by pranayama breath infusion practice.
This type of perception can also occur at the third eye but while at the third eye, these perceptions appear looking out of the third eye window into another dimension, with the buddhi, when this happens, the perception occurs inside the subtle head viewing into the buddhi the way a person views ideas in the mind during daydreaming.
This orb is a higher perception facility than the third eye but most meditators are unfamiliar with it.
Even though this vision-perception of a higher world did not last for long, it was inspiring. Ultimately a yogi should be able to hold to these perceptions for some time. That would be a successful samadhi experience.
However it is not that these environments disappear but it is rather that the yogi who disappears from these environments after appearing on the level where these environments are always present.
If the subtle body is elevated to a higher plane, then the yogi will perceive that higher level but only for as long as the subtle body can remain on that higher plane.
