Blue Moon Perceived

Last night in the astral world with Pranajogi, a guru of Srila Yogeshwarananda, I was able somehow to see the blue moon.
Just as we have a silver-white moon in the material sky at night, so there are various types of moon in the astral domains but the blue moon is special. The vision of it even for a split second is considered to be very favorable in the life of an aspiring yogi.
Pranajogi was lecturing to me about the need to squeeze down out the various bliss energies which arise during kundalini yoga practice. His idea is that these features are a distraction and cause the student to stall in practice. Sometimes due to addiction to these bliss feelings a yogi stops listening to the instructions sent by higher mystics and becomes stagnant. He or she then falls away from the path of yoga or adapt a path in tantric yoga which endorses pleasure as being the highest aspect of the austerities.
Sometimes in the astral world, when one is going up and up, one sees some student yogis who are caught in a trance of a bliss aspect somewhere in the astral domains. Looking at their faces one can see that they are enjoying a bliss aspect and is stunned by it. But then after a time, these students come down again and take a material body somewhere somehow and become phony ascetics in the new life.
Pranajogi said that unless one gets guidance it is not possible to reach the stage of a siddha, because one has to develop a certain resistance to the bliss energies. Without that detachment one will be stuck on a lower level due to an addiction to the energies. These energies are so addicting that students disregard the advice of their worthy yoga gurus and go off with others who feel that these bliss states are the culmination of existence.
In the kundalini yoga process, a student has to study his or her own nature, to see the degree of attraction to the bliss yielded by kundalini. This bliss is also yielded in a particular way in sexual indulgence. The student has to study his or her response to the various types of bliss energy which arise during the kundalini yoga practice.
If one finds that a certain bliss aspect is overwhelming then one should also consider if that will cause one to stall in advancement. We are already familiar with the hypnotic effects of ordinary pleasures like eating sweet foods. We are somewhat familiar with the mysterious bliss feature of sexual climax experience. Thus this gives some insight into what we are up against.
Pranajogi said this about how he helps students.
“I can assist someone who has shed off the sexual indulgence hypnosis. This is because what I say cannot be heard in the dimension of that experience. When a yogi has dealt with that square on, then I may help him or someone with my skills may help him.
“Until the student reaches that level, he will repeatedly hear,
Go down!
Go down!
Now die!
Now take another body!
Now you can have sexual pleasure!
Now you can no longer enjoy sexual pleasure!
He or she will hear this repeatedly as the transmigration circular pattern is strictly enforced by material nature.
After he explained this, he directed me in a third eye meditation. The best way to describe this kriya is to say that it is a pull back, drop a little, slant stare-up process. Meaning that in this, the core-self pulls back about one inch backward from its default position in the head of the subtle body. Then it drops down about one and one half inch.
Then it focuses upward at about a 45 degree angle avoiding contact with the buddhi intellect organ.
This avoidance of this organ is the most important part of this practice. If contact is made to the organ with the focusing energy, then the game is up and the practice is ruined, because the buddhi intellect organ will use the contact of the focus with it, to create vrittis which are banned by Patanjali.
When this is done correctly, there might or might not be supernatural perception. In this case, because Pranajogi was present, after some time (I am not sure of the interval), the core-self resumed its default position, shifted a little to the right and peered forward. Up in the front at the brow chakra there was nothing but darkness like a grey black opaque cloud of energy.
But then suddenly part of that cloud moved to the right and behind it was a clear atmosphere like the sky on a starless night. Then there was a blue moon giving off a very attractive radiance of blue vapor bliss force, like it was calling one to go to it and leave everything else. I only saw half of the moon because the grey-back cloud only moved to the right partially and then the cloud moved back and blocked the opening of the brow chakra.
Seeing that blue moon was like seeing an old friend whom I had not seen for millions of years but unfortunately I could not maintain contact for any length of time.
