Bliss aspect of kundalini

This morning’s meditation was a struggle. During the night there were several unwanted astral encounters, like being lost in a hoodlum part of city. Finally after the night was over, it was about 3 am. Time to consider sitting up to meditate, which I did. But there was a weariness of bones and tendons due to working in construction yesterday.

 

There were the muddled memories of the astral encounters. Then I decided to be firm to sit up and meditate. I did this and connected with naad sound. Then some astral energy reached me and made their demands.

 

At about 5 am I managed to gather sufficient resolve to do breath infusion exercises with postures. Yesterday it was raining so I could not go outdoors, subsequently the air was not as energizing as it was today.

 

Air in a building even fresh air, is not as energizing as air outdoors, except perhaps in freezing temperatures. The air outside was good and kundalini arose many time with the bliss aspect within the trunk of the body as compared to its raising and entering the brain and having a bliss aspect there.

 

During the session I noted that the bliss aspect was present with each movement of kundalini here or there. Then I got touch from someone. It was Tibeti Yogi. He smiled. I don’t know here he is staying or in what dimension, so I have to depend on his contacting me. He said this,

 

“Everything is spoilt by sexual indulgence. The whole psyche is perverted by it but those who are in it cannot understand. The bliss aspect should be in every part of the subtle body. What has it to do with sexual organs? These organs have no monopoly on it. Spiritual body spiritual body! That’s it!”

 

Then he disappeared.

 

When I sat to meditate after the session, there was some disturbance mentally from persons who tried to reach me. I haggled with this energy for about ten minutes, regrettably. Then suddenly I heard naad. It was as if naad itself felt pity on me and made the connection. I keyed into naad. Then some time after there was again some astral encounters; this time by mental contact with the astral forms of others. These forms were like transparencies. Flashing in and out of perception.

 

After about thirty more minutes, I got up to complete some duties. So much for a flawed meditation session.

Just curious as to why or how the same air could be more energizing simply on account of being (significantly) colder.

It has to do with what cold air does to the body if the body is unable to heat it up quickly enough. In normal breathing, due to the slow intake of air, the body can warm it, but in rapid breathing, with volumes of air coming into the system over a short period of time, the body may not be able to warm such volumes quickly enough. The result of this will be that the body will get sick with influenza or some other ailment.

 

Thus in the winter time, it is best to be in a warm place and allow a certain amount of cold air to come, to be mixed with the hot air, so that the body does not have to deal with the coldness.

 

One other thing to consider is that some of the cold air from the frigid regions of the earth has certain viruses in it, which are in dormancy. But as soon as these viruses enter the body through the nostrils, their dormancy expires and they invade the body. Thus if one is doing rapid breathing, one will be ingesting many of these viruses. These might cause influenza while for normal breathing, only a limited number of these germs will enter the body.

 

The point is that in the winter you have to be careful and not be fanatical or superstitious about pranayama practice. Be health conscious and do it in a way where nature does not attack you as a result in another way.

 

Cold viruses may be dormant in cold air coming from the frigid regions of the earth but as soon as these enter the body they come alive and they won’t care to stop their nasty work merely because you are a yogi.
