Biology series-3: Mechanism of breastfeeding

How breastfeeding works:

The breasts contain milk-producing glands called lobules. A network of tubes called milk ducts connects the lobules to the nipple. The lobules store the milk until a hormone called oxytocin triggers the contraction of small muscles in the lobules.

This contraction helps push the milk through the ducts and out of the nipple during breastfeeding.

Both biologically and psychically baby and mother's are synchronized during breast feeding. When the baby latches on the the mother, the mother psyche recognizes it and send the signal to mammary glands to secrete the milk for baby. This is also true in biological part of mother and baby, it is shown beautifully in the video.
