During the night, I met with Authur Beverford. We were in an astral realm that was without disturbance, where the atmosphere was just like the deep blue sky, littered with stars on a full moon night.

He wanted to hash over his focus on martial arts and failure to make yoga his primary practice. In retrospect, he considered his life in his last body and said this:

“Each generation carries a certain burden, call it karma or whatever. Mostly it is not personal karma because there is national karma. I was in the generation just after World War 2 and thus we had to do certain things which seemed to be humanity’s priority. It was all because of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and those persons who were undesirable rulers. Due to that we became occupied with defense. I traced it to that. This is the reason why yoga was not my primary practice. I should have developed the pranayama practices more.

I cannot blame Rishi for not stressing it.  Even if he did we would not have regarded it with too much importance. The West was obsessed with survival, with war, with acquiring resources, with developing its civilization, with outperforming the Soviets.

The same thing is happening today with the digital stuffs. Youths in school will be forced to regard that as a priority regardless of its spiritual uselessness.

O well, these things happen!
