In experience #593 from May 20, 2012 called," beautiful blue sky", I felt particularly well rested in the morning, it prompted me to try and have an out of body experience. I focused my mind to let go of all the tension in my body. On every exhale I will let go of my body. I did this for a few seconds until I felt my body to be relaxed in a meditative state, it was easy to do because it was in the early morning after several hours of deep sleep. It then occurred to me to imagine pulses in my feet at the rhythm of my heart. I focused on my feet because in the past I’ve felt movement in that area as I am entering trance. Very quickly I started to feel very strong pulses in my legs. It became the trigger to make me aware of my state. It would have been impossible for me to feel the strong sensations unless I was ready for separation.
I lifted my head then rolled my body out of bed to get up. My level of lucidity was the highest possible as I had no loss of consciousness as I transitioned. Everything felt so vivid even the shimmering in the door knob was there. I walked out of the house and saw the most beautiful cloudless blue sky I have seen. I've realize that a form that functions as a guide will form behind me if I look for it. So I made a strong effort to look by twisting my head all the way to see behind my back. I saw the outline of something, a form that had not completely taking shape. As I looked I felt the formation of something behind me and attached to me. I asked, as I could not see it, “come out from there”, I little girl about seven years old steps out from behind my back. She had long blonde hair and deep blue marble looking eyes with only a little bit of white area around it. I asked her,” where do we go now”, she replied," Anywhere you like". I took off flying with the little girl to the north close to the pine trees below me. Ahead of me I could see a city in the distance. I then flew down to the construction zone that seemed out of place to investigate. I heard a woman asking a construction worker the cost of putting cement in her floor.
Unfortunately I forgot to fly up into the blue sky as I was instructed to do during a previous experience. Experiences like this one that feel hyper realistic and vivid reminds me how amazing life really is.

This is really valuable, the minute details of what you do to induce astral projection. Great description! Just be aware of one thing, which is that this will not work for everyone but everyone should try and maybe find a way which works for them. Your example is great in that you are giving yourself over to this and getting results by your investment of being attentive to it.
One thing I would like you to do, is to get ready to astral project and then to do absolutely nothing, no visualization, nothing and see what happens if your body just fall asleep or if you just remain awake in the physical body. In other words, would an astral projection take place if you do not do the visualization procedures?

Your clarity of experience and transitioning is amazing.
I look forward to hearing more of your experiences.

Yes, there is usually a window of opportunity in the mornings, the only thing that I would be required to do is to be able to maintain my awareness*. But it is only a small window in the mornings when I can do this. There are other windows that if I used them correctly I can also use them to trigger OBEs. Here are my observations.
BEFORE PRIME
|++ physical relaxation | +++awareness |
BEST TIME PRIME MORNING
|*prime (no visualization, quick re-entry)
AFTER PRIME
|+awareness (with visualization) | +physical relaxation (guided relaxation OK) |
BEFORE PRIME = DURING AFTERNOON NAP, OR BEFORE FULL NIGHTS SLEEP
In other words if I successfully induce during a mid afternoon nap far from prime morning time, I would require the highest amount of relaxation, about 45min-1:30min and also visualization otherwise I would fall to sleep unconsciously. Higher tendency for nosier mind, chatterbox going off. I do not practice attempting to induce OBEs during naps unless I feel very tired and naturally want to rest. About 1/4 probability of success. I would not recommend to beginners, as it is the hardest way to induce for me. Developing this area would have high rewards as it would widen all the windows.
PRIME TIME = MORNING AFTER FULL NIGHTS SLEEP (+MIND AND BODY, HIGH QUALITY SLEEP)
If I successfully induce during prime time I would require the lowest amount of relaxation, about 1-2min and no visualization. Less tendency for nosier mind, or quietest mind. I cannot do this every mornings as i might not be awake during this short window. Sometimes this short window will not be available if my mind and body are against it. To me what helps create this short window is sensible nutrition and a very good night’s rest. #539 blue sky experience was is in this category, the visualization method I used was a slight awareness boaster. Because an OBE took 1-2min to induce the visualization was in addition, and not required.
AFTER PRIME = MORNING AFTER FULL NIGHTS SLEEP (- OR LOWER QUALITY SLEEP IF PRIME WINDOW IS NULL)
If I successfully induce after prime time I would require minimal relaxation and minimal visualization. Tendency for medium noisy mind, but easiest time to tame or focus thoughts. 10-35min to induce. This is the basis for my Recliner Method to induce OBEs that I have not written in this forum yet. If someone has difficulty relaxing, this could be the best window for them. Changing up sleeping location can be used as a boaster for increase in natural awareness, if loss of awareness is the main cause of OBE failure.
I do not worry or think about these times or windows very much ahead of time. But if I find myself in one, I will know what to do. I think everyone should have a personal way of looking at the conditions of their body and mind throughout the sleep cycle. It does not always work, but to me approaching it this way greatly increases the overall probably of successfully inducing. I remind the reader these are my observations, and not necessarily universal.

MiBeloved's Response:
So I will begin giving you instructions for practicing kriya yoga using some of the systems of astral projection you either discovered on your own or got from others.
First thing is that relaxation and unconscious sleep is controlled by the kundalini life force which is a psychic mechanism in the subtle body.
Make every effort to observe the activities of this kundalini life force. Study the story in the book file section of this forum called King Puranjana, Life Force Description, from Srimad Bhagavatam. Pay attention to the serpent in the story. This story told by a mahayogin, Narada, gave a summary study of the activities and identity of the kundalini force.
Take notice that in the end King Puranjana could not leave the body until after the serpent crawled out. This will give you some idea about the importance and dominance of this kundalini life force.
To switch over to kriya yoga practice, you have to change your approach and see astral projection as child’s play. It is a big thing in a way and then it has very little importance. Doing it in no way frees you from having to take an haphazard rebirth. So for those purposes it is useless.
Why then do yogis practice it?
The answer is simple because it is unavoidable so long as one has a subtle body which will again and again create physical forms and force one to assume these as one’s identity.
Astral projection as an end in itself is dead letter to anyone’s spiritual life. Just take my word for it for the time being. You will get verification later about this. Some trust is necessary if you are to learn kriya yoga. So you have to exhibit some blind faith as we must do in so many parts of our learning experiences from others.

MiBeloved's Response:
Sensible nutrition and a good night’s rest?
Sound like the activities of the life force.
So this is how it operates. If you are able to give it the proper nutrition (including the right amount of fresh air) and if you are worry free, a person whose mind does not latch on to other people’s concern easily, then this life force will have no reason to hoard psychic energy in the physical body. Hence when the astral body separates the astral form will have a higher battery charge which will permit astral memory.
If there is a low charge of energy from the life force in the sleeping physical form to the conscious subtle body in the astral world, then there will be no memory and hardly any objectivity and the experiences will not be recalled.
This means that the whole effort at astral projection is bullshit because it is a diversion from the real issue which is this kundalini life force. This does not mean that one should stop astral projecting or should stop trying to achieve that.
One should keep on with that but should think deeply about the psychic mechanism which operates astral projection. One should not get heavy headed and feel that one can operate astral projection and that this is a big deal.
It is really not much of an achievement because it happens every time the physical body sleeps and mostly we are not aware of this. Something else is operating this and our token control of it now and again is totally meaningless in terms of our life span with the astral form separating from the onset whenever the physical body sleeps
The real issue is to observe the mechanism which operates this. Can we learn how this psychic technology conducts its affairs? It even created the embryo which became what we are as human beings. We cannot take credit for any of this and therefore our little dancing around has little meaning.

MiBeloved's Response:
Noisy mind?
What causes this?
So there is another psychic mechanism which has to be studied and that is the one which creates images, ideas and such in the mind.
How is this done involuntarily? So this is another psychic organ which you should investigate. This is the intellect. Where is it located? How does it operate? How is it powered? Why can it act without the sanction of the observing self? Who installed it in the psyche? Can the observing self uninstall it or even shut it down?

Ok, I will look for "king Puranja, life force description" in the book file section and read it. I have your book "Meditation Pictoral" in my kindle, would that be the right book to learn about Kriya yoga and answer your questions? I would need the complete run down, as I do not know anything about it. My post above is my experimental information collected for about two years of analyzing every day the conditions under when OBEs happen to me. I've learned to know what to expect and what to do about it.
Some would call it an obsession, but I don't care, why not learn about it? Nearly everyone obsesses about the waking portion of their life, or 2/3s of their life and are clueless about the other 1/3 of their life, the sleeping life. Not learning about the 100% would make me feel that I am cheating myself, and it would probably cause me to believe the pseudo lies physical reality attempts to instill in me. And add a horrible death process on top of that. Say no!

Meditation Pictorial is a good place to start at least to get a foothold in the 5th stage of yoga which is pratyahar sensual energy withdrawal.
A thorough study of Kriya Yoga Bhagavad Gita is required, particularly chapters 2 and 6. Then Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is needed as well just to get an idea about the syllabus of yoga from an expert.
The way to go about this is to assume that you are re-learning things which you knew of in past lives, Study the sex you! book and the Anu Gita Explained book to understand how it might be that you learnt much of this in past lives but have to re-learn it all over again.
A simple thing like the alphabet of a language has to be re-learned when one takes a new body, so many other skills must be re-acquired afresh in each life. If however you break through the massive ignorance of not knowing of rebirth, then it is easier to catch up to where you were in your past achievements.
So far you have invested much in astral projection but what about tapping into your subconscious store of knowledge and proficiency from past lives.
You can astral project for sure. We recognize that. What can you do to dig out information about what you did and what you were skilled in past lives?
Nobody in their right mind will spend say about 8 years getting a PhD and then forget all that information and all the practice involved and then go back to school again to learn it all over again, but that is what we are doing life after life. Does that make sense?

Very interesting. Few of my experiences relate specifically to past lives. It is no myth indeed. Regarding learning things over and over again would explain why I feel that way. Would you like me to post experiences relating directly to past lives, or should I wait to post until reading about it? I will start reading your recommendations.
Thanks

Post the experiences. Don't wait. As you post I may be able to show you a few tricks of how to use those experiences in the future to cough up skill and techniques which you mastered before.
