Last night in the astral world, I found myself speaking to a man whom I knew in South America in 1987. He is deceased and so is his wife. He was concerned that I should be his neighbor again as I was then physically.

To encourage me he showed me the infrastructure improvements which were being made. They were running new electric cables along the road. They had repaved the road. Their houses were restyled.

After walking along that astral road, with him showing the various improvements, we turned and went to his house. There I met a young lady whose astral body looked like a physical body which was about 23 years of age. I also met the man’s deceased wife whom I knew before. The wife introduced the young lady as their niece and said she was looking for a husband.

After chitty chatting with them cordially for a time, I left their house and walked on the astral road. Then the deceased man’s brother, who was a friend of mine, came along the road. He rode a bicycle but even though he looked directly at me, he did not see me. This is because he was in a slightly different dimension so that I could see him but he could not perceive me. Even though his subtle body sensed me, it could not see me visually.

This is similar to when a ghost makes contact with a physical body. Then the physical body may sense the ghost but having no visual perception of it, the physical body cannot verify the ghost’s existence.

After this I came back to my physical body which was lying in a room in Las Vegas. I got up, wrote some notes about this which I used to write about the experience.

People usually ask me about the symbolism of a dream as to what the dream should be interpreted as. This is a case of an astral reality which has no interpretation as such. I just entered into the history of another place. The fascination of this may be that in the astral world where there is no need for physical reality, people who are deceased do try to create such physical reality all based on what they experienced in the past physical life.

They try to improve their lot along materialistic lines and the laws of nature on the physical plane, even though in the astral world, such things are really irrelevant. This guarantees also that these deceased persons remain with a materialistic view of life in the interim period between losing a body and getting another. When at last they get other material bodies, they will continue in the same materialistic way as before.

There is no need for electric lights in the astral world and still these persons have created that there based on the infrastructure orientation they derived from the physical world.

There is one other factor which may be noted which is the 23 years old looking astral body of the young woman who was the man’s niece. She left her last physical body at about 23 years of age and was at the time aspiring for marriage. Due to that in the afterlife, she still aspired for the same. She was stuck in time in the astral world with an orientation to that and could not develop any further.

This made me think of an experience I once had. My grandmother passed away when she was about 90 years. At the time she passed a young cousin of mine was living with her in Trinidad. His name is Russel. I find that my relatives who live on the Island are much more connected to the dead than we are here in the US because they tend to handle the body more and people tend to die at home around there family.

Well I decided to bring Russel to live in the US with me since my Grandmother loved him so much. A few months after he was here, I got up one morning and there was a strange and unusual smell in the bath room. I pondered on what it could be but I had to get kids off to school so I kept moving. When Russel got up and went into the bath room he said Granny paid us a visit, he could smell some product that she used I don't remember now what he said it was.

Even though it seemed that you smelled the odor, it was the subtle body which was doing so because of the subtle presence of the deceased person. Since the subtle body was fused into the physical one, the differentiation between subtle and gross was blurred, so it seemed to be detected on the physical side.

To be clear, there are three factors here:

You

The subtle body

And the physical body.

When you are conscious of physical experience, then the physical body is regarded as you. When you are in a dream or astral projection, the subtle body is regarded as you. In that experience you were the subtle body but since you were also interspaced and conscious of the physical form, it was like a lucid dream but you were unable to sort between the physical experiences and the subtle experiences, so they seemed to be merged into being just one experience. That is not really a mergence. It is in fact a confusion and lack of clarity because of insufficient meditation practice.

I will cite an experience which happened yesterday. I just picked up a book which I got in the mail. This book is called Doctors from Hell, written by Vivien Spitz. It is a description of the Nuremberg trials of some doctors who were in the Nazi reign of terror.

As soon as I opened the book, I began to smell dead bodies. It was the most eerie thing. To be honest, at first, I thought that perhaps the publishers put some morbid scent into the paper which the words were printed on. Then I thought that perhaps the books carried a psychic curse, so that the smell from the concentration camps moved with the information.

Anyway I carefully smelled into the binding of the book and it had a neutral paper smell.

Then it dawned on me that I had made contact astrally with the astral environment in which these doctors functioned way back around 1939-1945.

The fact that both of you smelled it, is unusual, but it shows the power of the deceased person where she made a definite contact with both of your subtle bodies simultaneously.

She must also be the source of your concern for this Russell but you are thinking that you are the source of that concern.
