Arrest and throw kundalini

The initial effort in kundalini yoga is all about causing kundalini to move from muladhara chakra up the spine and into the head. That is stage one.

When this is done to proficiency and one can do this at least once per day without fail using a fail-proof method in yoga kriya, then one masters kundalini to some extent and stops being a mediocre yogi.

After this stage one the next level is to curb the sex hormone energy and to work to become what is called an urdhva reta yogi, which is a yogi whose sexual hormone energy no longer points downward but resist gravity and comes upward as soon as it is produced. To master this stage one must take help from advanced yogis who are physically or astrally present or both.

Because the psyche is configured with a downward going sexual energy and because that is the way of nature, attaining an upward configuration of the sexual hormones is quite a struggle for a yogi. It can be achieved for sure but only after steady practice of pulling up that energy using pranayama methods where the prana energy is used to evaporate the sex hormones which usually pools up in the pubic area.

Once this is achieved, then the next stage is to cause all the energy which falls down from the navel area to be pulled up.

To curb this one has to master agnisara practice on the subtle plane. On the physical level agnisara practice is done with the stomach pump exercises but this practice needs to be relocated into the subtle body because that is the real issue.

Now when all of this is said and done, then the yogi should move on to the stage of kundalini arrest.

What does this mean?

This means that as kundalini is hustling to escape from breath infusion energy by running up the spine into the head, the student should arrest kundalini and then throw it in some dark corner of the psyche to light up that darkness.

Why?

Because in the psyche, even if kundalini is going into the head, even if it reached brahmarandra, still if there are dense astral energies in the astral body in any part of it, then the yogi will have to come down again to that lower level where that dense energy is predominant.

This might be compared to a man who lives in a dungeon but who works in a palace. Yes, he works in a palace but at the end of the day, he cannot sleep there. He must return to his dark grotto environment when his day’s employment is over. So a yogi might be going to brahmarandra but if any other part of his psyche has dense heavy astral energy, he will have to go to that area sooner or later. That is his base situation.

Thus a yogi should arrest kundalini, compress it and grab it when it tries to move up the spine and then throw it in any dark part of the psyche. This action when done repeatedly over time will cause kundalini to stop its craze for bliss energy in the head of the subtle body and it will then seek out those dark parts of the psyche and get them into psychic brilliance.

As Indra, the lord of Svarga heavenly places, takes the psychic static electricity which is over the heads of humanity, compresses that force and then hurls it as lightning in dark clouds, so the yogi should arrest kundalini and hurl it into any dark areas of the psyche.

So much to think about here. It appears to me that a cosmic level of dedication is required to achieve such a feat.
