Army marches through a Yogi body

Last night I was asked to give a short lecture and supervise a class about the Ramayana of Valmiki which is a standard religious book from India. After the function, I was offered a meal, which due to the tradition of these events, I could not refuse. It was 8 pm when I finished the meal. I knew it was a punitive thing but still due to social requirements, I took the meal.
The result was that during the night there was a small army moving through my system, at a time when there is usually total silence and rest of most of the cells of the physical body. The meal was about one-third the size of a full meal. A full meal would have been like 10 battalions with heavy tanks bombarding a large city, pulverizing it to dust. Instead this was like a small squadron with a few snipers and two or three gunships with light artillery.
During the night I awoke twice when there was some firing of the artillery. I thought to myself, “I wish this infantry would just fall down and die or go to sleep for the night, but they kept fire off small ammunition in the system.
The real question is:
How do people do this night after night with heavy meals and then they sleep and snore away? Because that is like when you are in the city which is being shelled by an enemy and you get so accustomed to the loud explosions that you just fall asleep anyway even though when you awake the next morning the building you slept in has vaporized due to the explosions?
I was late to do the breath infusion, doing it near 6 am rather than near 4 am. This is one of the disadvantages of night eating, that one becomes inclined to rising later usually after 6 am. I struggled to push down some dark energy through the chest, down into the navel area and then out through the bottom of the trunk of the subtle body. I worked on this for about 20 minutes on and on and on until I felt that the energy had moved out of the system.
After that I worked on infusing the head of the subtle body. I worked on blasting the thought, image, idea area of the subtle head and had some success with that. During the exercises which I did outdoors, I heard the front door open.
After about 15 minutes I looked and saw someone there. One of the Indians was watching my exercises and breath infusion routine. This is a person who learnt this some years ago and who also was trained in meditation but who is so overpowered by a reluctance to practice, that he is unable to bring himself into even five minutes of breath infusion every day.
That is like when one is late to catch a train. So one hurries up and gets to the station but when one gets there a station attendant says that the train will be 10 minutes late. In the meantime as one waits, one feels hungry but instead of going back home to prepare a meal, one stays at the station in fear of missing the late train. Then after ten minutes, the train still does not arrive in the station and there is an announcement through the sound system, which says that there is another delay and the train will be ten more minutes late.
But then again one waits for ten minutes and there is yet another announcement about the late train being delayed further. In the meantime, one remains with the hunger and the fear that if one goes for a meal, one will miss the train.
In this way many students fail to complete their practice because of social pressures which stall them at the station of materialistic affairs and deprive them of the spiritually-nutrient practice of yoga.
