ॐ नमः शिवाय
Woke up at Brahma-Muhurta (3 AM).
Svadhyaya: This practice is critical to develop the necessary Bhakti to wake up early to do yoga. Svadhyaya, combined with prânâyâma, develops Sattva in the being. It is Sattva that overcomes Tamas and makes possible to wake up early, otherwise Tamas overtakes the yogi and he stays in bed. Svadhyaya the night before and also during the day creates Bhakti by the example of other yogis and masters and their Tapas. A little prânâyâma before bedtime is also helpful, as well as Sattvic diet. It is also helpful to chant the following mantras as summarized in Page 353 of “Uddhava Gita Explained”, before the practice:
Om Somaya Namah – My obeisances to the moon deity
Om Suryaya Namah – My obeisances to the sun deity
Om Indraya Namah - My obeisances to the weather deity
Om Pranavayave Namah - My obeisances to the vitalizing air deity
Jai Sri Mahadeva – All glories to Lord Shiva
Dedication: Although Lord Shiva is always on my mind as the Lord of Yoga, the practice was dedicated to Lord Krishna. Lord Balarama was also on my mind.
Breath Infusion: It consisted of approximately 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma. The first 30 minutes or so were used to infuse breath into the navel, using several asanas and mudras. This accumulation there is to incite, awake, and finally spark the Kundalini. After 30 minutes, Kundalini was solicited first gently and little by little aggressively. During this time the Ajna Chakra was also observed and propitiated by doing infusion while pressing the ocular orbs with the hands. Its signature doughnut was seen right away (golden inside, round dark bluish ring, outer white ring). With the infusion the golden center expanded, then broke into lightning inside the head, on into myriad lights of different colors. It then dissolved into white light, but picked up again golden when the breath infusion resumed. To finally raise Kundalini, some specific asanas with locks were used (anus lock, lower back, belly, neck and Pratyahar), the effects was felt in the head and specially in both ears, as a warm, soothing, cream-like, feeling.
Meditation: At first consisted in observing a phenomenon on the third eye. For several minutes, and perhaps the result of the prânâyâma, a conflagration of flames ascended form the bottom of the head. The flames kept on coming in waves that dissipated at the top of the head. When this subsided, Naad sound was sought and found coming from both ears. I linked to it for the rest of the meditation.
Dream recall: One important dream was first recalled, then forgotten. The remembrance may be recovered later on.

Great practice session.
There is nothing like a thorough pranayama before sitting to meditate.

Namaste Alfredo,
You are putting the time in (45 min of fire breath!), that's inspiring.
I want to become consistent in breathing that much.
Thank you,
