A Peek Over From The Astral Side

A few hours ago, I laid down on the couch in my living room to take a nap. I must have been asleep for about 40-45 minutes before I became slightly lucid on the astral side. I was walking in and out over several doors that led to different rooms but had no idea where I was headed. My perception was not 100% clear or even 50% clear but I could see things as if I had on night vision goggles, everything looked like a negative of a photograph.
Then suddenly, I entered through a particular door where I saw the room where my physical body was lying on the couch and my wife sitting at her desk working on her laptop. My cellphone rang, I could hear the chime of the ringer on the astral side and saw my wife get up to look at the phone to see who was calling. Shortly after, I returned to my physical body but could not get up right away, I felt very groggy so I laid there for another 20 minutes before I got up. As I struggled to rise, I asked my wife "if my phone rang", she replied "yes it did" then I asked "who was it" she replied, "you think I got time to see who's calling you?"
I smiled and got up to write down the experience.

Technically speaking this was a full blown astral projection objective experience, and not a lucid dreaming.
Let me clear up the distinction. If you are still interspaced in the physical form and have astral consciousness while you are interspaced, then that is lucid dreaming. It means that you are conscious of both the physical and astral bodies but your astral form is still in synch with the physical one.
When the astral body is not in synch then it is an astral projection, or it is that you became aware of an astral projection. In such a case, there is only astral perception of the astral body and no perception through the physical body.
When it happens that you are seeing in both dimensions at once, the physical and the astral, that is usually a lucid dream but if the astral body is displaced out of the physical one, then it is not a lucid dream but it is rather, a special condition of the astral body where it sees through its own vision and it also is able to see a transfer imprint of the physical body’s vision.
Question is that if your physical body was killed by some means during this experience, then what would you have done?
Where would you go?
How would you continue existing there?
What would you do with the desires which you can only fulfill on the physical side of existence?

You should start racking up the experience count Dean. When you do, the questions instead would be: "where will I not go", "In which way do I prefer to continue existing", and you will have new goals, not desires, but goals irrelevant to the physical matter reality system.
One last thing, don't fear the astral even if it looks "scary". It is you that creates the conditions of your overall experience/existence while moving from one point to another. Where will you stay?
Have a great day!

Thank you Michael and Jettins for the clarification and encouragement. I will continue to keep seeking.
