Question about meditation from Linked in:

Living life in meditative stage!

We do meditation for some time in a day, but what about doing it 24/7? Have you thought of that and applied it? Want to achieve that?

MiBeloved's Response:

Speaking for myself Manish, meditation cannot be done 24/7 in a determined way. The only way meditation continues after a deliberate session is if I remain without worldly social association.

As soon as I become involved with others, the after-effects of meditation are decreased to some extent, varying according to the quality of that association.

Now in terms of remaining in a room or cave meditating for 24 hours, that is not possible unless one has no social duties. Even when I lived in an ashram, it was difficult to maintain the after effects of meditation after the deliberate session of meditation, because one has to become involved in duties and associations which dilute out the effects.

The same happens to me, the moment I get involved with others my mood changes. The moment I stop my focus my meditative state quickly fades away.

I have also read that people who have meditated for years have an overall lower brain wave frequency.  This would make the person more calm and able to concentrate better, faster and have more empathy. They are also supposedly able to return to meditative state much faster.
