Absolutely! Though we can relish history in the Gita, and we may think that since Lord Krishna isn’t here now these current events are mundane and futile.

The fact is that back then only some had the mindset to delve into palace politics and wars. IMO, this is our time to also form opinions about our history, just as they did in Vedic times. If I deserved to meddle with Krishna I would have lived then with them.

The dynamics are the same still. Some have their reasons for standing for the Kauravas and others for the Pandavas, the rest, no interest in any of it.
