Physical conquest is immediate and pronounced in many humans. It comes under many forms so long as their objects are external to the psyche.

The ones who are to be concerned with psychological self-conquest will persevere. Others will persist in substituting that psychological conquest with all manners of control.

It is that substitution which causes deviation and ignoring of the self-conquest, to the advantage of the same interest while turned outwards. Otherwise, that advancement would not provide sufficient satisfaction.
