Turkiye appears to be more of a frenemy. Not exactly a great team player with NATO, but very strategic to have in the midts.

It is a similar situation with Hungary and it's leader Victor  Orban who has been brazenly pushing anti-NATO nations' values for years, and tolerates or align with Russia's Putin.
