Comment to 'Rebirth Tendency Foiled'
  • Below are paragraphs reflected upon for this follow-up:

Yogesh gave a technique for unfurling this curl tendency. What happens it that when one is about to fall asleep, if one is alert in that stupor, one will notice that one’s head is bent forward and the spine is curled. This tendency should be thwarted by unfurling and moving the head upwards and backward to some degree. This is done regardless of what position the physical body sleep in. It is an action to the subtle form.

If this is done repeatedly night after night, in time one will notice that one has more astral dream recall and more clarity over all during the time when the physical body sleeps.

This would help considerably in avoiding the sleep urge which comes on the subtle body after the physical one dies. That would cause one to be elevated to higher planes of consciousness where the stupor energies are not present.

    Comment/ Follow-up:

At the end of the 11th grade, I was visiting my parents in Zambia, Sothern Africa from boarding school in Nice, France. For some reasons, I picked up a book for summer reading, the interpretation of dream by Sigmund Freud. Probably the first large volume book I had read back.

At the same time, during that summer break, I was inspired to do a lot of stretching on a daily basis, and I would lead my siblings into it. It would be called yoga, however back then I had never heard that word (1987). To me, I was doing some type of martial arts/ athletics /stretching exercises.

I become inspired and I am clueless as to from where or why, to sleep on my back and keep my legs in the lotus posture. Somehow I was able to fall asleep in that position. As a result, I still recall a vibrant night where I was all over the universe so to speak. I was flying in all directions between the starts on and on. It didn’t feel like I slept a bit, I was so active and objective the entire night.

I have not been to sleep in that position again, it is too uncomfortable, and I haven’t even really tried it since. So, indeed the subtle piggy backs of the physical. This is not shared to make the content of the original post seem more accessible in any way. Also, it would be for me a confirmation that some instincts do carry over from past lives to resurface at some over time in the future.
