Material Nature is Life Force/Kundalini energy driven in these situations. She is Lord Krishna’s lower energy, I call it His creative energy. She is impartial to the individual, yet compels all opportunistically. She is an equal opportunity master force. 

That said the equation is complex. One may bargain and provide an alternative. Then, in toe comes the next one, and again and again. It is endless!
